Construction research inspired by Da Vinci Bridge

This project delves into the realm of furniture construction by exploring the development of a supporting structure devoid of screws. Its primary objective is to gain insight into the working methods of engineers within the context of furniture design. The research question that emerges from this endeavor is as follows: How can a construction within a furniture design project be scientifically conceived, developed, tested, analyzed, and optimized? As a designer, it is imperative to acquire knowledge and comprehension of construction principles and their application throughout the design process.

The project takes its initial inspiration from the ingenious Da Vinci Bridge, an architectural marvel conceptualized by the brilliant mind of Leonardo da Vinci. This remarkable construction achieves stability solely through the arrangement of wooden sticks. The research undertaken in this project unfolds in parallel with the exploration of the Da Vinci Bridge's construction and its inherent principles.
