This team workshop took place in 2014, in collaboration with the R&D department of GIANT China. The primary objective of the workshop was to design and develop a bicycle specifically tailored for urban women in the Chinese market. GIANT China generously sponsored the project and provided essential technical support. Following extensive discussions with the market research team, we established specific design criteria targeting urban women who own pets. To stimulate our ideation process, we envisioned a cycling journey for the user and her pet, which served as the foundation for conceptualizing the new design. In this iteration, we repositioned the pet at the front of the bike, prompting subsequent adjustments to the frame and tire sizes. This modification aimed to evoke a sense of shared memories and companionship between the user and her pet during their travels together.
